Giving Opportunities

CREATED FOR A PURPOSE

IMG_1566.jpgEPHESIANS 2:10 For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

What a great reminder to all of us: we

were created for a purpose! This message was woven into everything this school year from the opening chapel to spirit week to graduation.

Another Class of Pilgrims Graduate!

Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you?
Be strong and courageous.
Do not be terrified;
do not be discouraged,
for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

The Class of 2009’s verse is a great reminder for us all. Where ever we are or what ever we face, God is with us!

As we wrap up the 2008-09 school year, we are thankful for all God has provided. We saw 635 LCS students grow “in wisdom and stature” as they were nurtured by excellent, caring teachers partnering with parents. LCS continues to thrive as God provides.

We know that sharing with those in need is one of the purposes for which we are created. This year we have seen many people generously give to underwrite LCS’s expenses. Because of our desire for all students to learn in LCS’s nurturing, God-centered environment, we have a tradition of setting the tuition rates nearly 20% below actual costs. This and other needs of the school puts us in a position to rely on almost $1 million in gifts from school families, grandparents and friends of LCS to balance our budget.

As you might expect, this year the need for tuition scholarships and grants is very high as families who are facing job loss or reduction struggle to keep their children at LCS. While we continue to hold down costs in every way possible, we also need to reduce our monthly debt load by raising $809,000 by June 30 for The Pilgrim Challenge.

Please make a financial contribution today, and prayerfully consider a pledge for the years to come.

We are thankful for God’s workmanship, displayed through each of you. Blessings to you,

Carol Feuss, Director of Development
